Courses Offered

We offer a variety of courses at FU, and a great faculty of professors (all graduates of Fergus University), so we are sure you will find something that interests you. Even if you don’t, that is fine too. No one signs up for any courses anyway!

Course A1 – How to be the Wife of a Zamboni Operator
In this 10-week intensive course, you will be instructed on the proper techniques to be the wife of a man that is Canada’s most important person on a hockey rink. We know that there are many women Zamboni operators, but we found that they don’t need the kind of ego-boosting support that men need from their wives.

Course B1 – Tree Climbing and Hole Digging
Whether you want to be high, or be low, this course is for you. Learn to climb trees without falling out of them, and how to dig the perfect hole. Course is taught over two weekends. You will be responsible for supplying your own shovel.

Course B2 – How to Watch Television
You may think that you have mastered the art of watching TV, but this course will explain there is more to watching television than staring at the screen. Topics covered will includes news, sitcoms, documentaries, mini-series, and binge watching. This is a self guided, study-from-home course.

Course B3 – The Art of Walking
We are not talking about long walks in the park, or hiking up a mountain here. What we will cover in this course, is “challenge” walking. Ever tried to make it from the kitchen to the TV with three pizzas, six beers, two bags of chips – with dip, and a cigar in your mouth… all while dodging kids toys and bat-crap-crazy cats without dropping anything? What about making it from the bar at your local pub to the bathroom that is located at the back, down a flight of stairs, past the empty beer kegs, while the floor is wet without looking like you have had three too many? That’s what we are talking about.

Course B4 – The Physics of Super Hero and Sci-Fi Movies
This is really more of a discussion group than a course, but we still give you credit for it. How does Super Man fly? Would the USS Enterprise actually be capable of flight? We may never know the answers to these questions, but they are fun to talk about.

Course C1 – Surviving a Zombie Apocalypse
This is our newest course, and has been requested for quite some time. We cover how to be prepared for what is certainly coming, the different types of zombies, and what to do when confronted with the un-dead. This course involved a lot of research, and an extensive list of TV shows and movies that must we watched and reviewed.
